1. As far as possible, operate within the high efficiency zone, i.e. within the critical vacuum degree or critical exhaust pressure.
2. Avoid running near large vacuum degree or large exhaust pressure. Running in this area, not only the efficiency is very low, but also the work is very unstable, easy to produce vibration and noise. For vacuum pump with higher vacuum degree, operation in this area, often cavitation phenomenon will occur, the obvious sign of this phenomenon is the noise and vibration inside the pump. Cavitation will lead to the pump body, impeller and other parts of the damage, so that the pump can not work.
According to the above principles, when the vacuum pump vacuum or gas pressure is not high, priority can be given to the selection of a single stage pump. If the vacuum or exhaust pressure is higher, the single-stage pump is often unable to meet, or, the pump in the case of a higher vacuum is still larger volume, that is, the performance curve in the higher vacuum is relatively flat, can choose two-stage pump. If the vacuum degree is more than -710mmhg, water ring – large air pump or water ring – roots vacuum unit can be selected as the vacuum pumping device.
If only for vacuum pump, then choose a single action pump is better. Because the single-acting pump is simple in construction, easy to manufacture and maintain, and in the case of high vacuum cavitation resistance is good. If only for the larger air volume of the compressor, the choice of dual role pump is more appropriate. Due to the large capacity, small volume and light weight of the double-acting pump, the radial force can be automatically balanced, the shaft is not prone to fatigue fracture, and the service life of the pump is long.
