Leak detection method one: visual inspection

After welding the pipeline, visually inspect the welding area for any abnormalities such as missed welding or poor welding to preliminarily determine whether the workpiece is qualified.

Leak detection method 2: Single detection

1. Use specialized testing fixtures and assemble them onto the leak detection port of the leak detector.

2. Place one workpiece at a time, and after placing it properly. Press the “Start” button and wait for the leak detector to display a relatively stable leak rate value. Then, spray helium to detect any suspicious leaks on the workpiece.

3. Spray helium at each suspicious leak point for 1 second and observe for 3-5 seconds. If the leakage rate value of the leak detector does not increase, it can be considered as the leakage point. There are no leaks or the leaks are less than the current displayed leakage rate value.

Advantages: Can determine the location of leakage points, and the detection rhythm can be adjusted according to personnel

Disadvantages: The overall detection cycle is long and the work efficiency is not high.

Leak detection method three: automatic tooling

1. Use specialized tools and cooperate with automation control

2. After placing the workpiece at station A, press “Start” and station A will automatically press, evacuate, and spray helium.

At the same time as the leak detection at station A, station B can take or place workpieces. After placing, press the “Start” button. After waiting for station A to finish, station B will automatically press, evacuate, and spray helium.

4. Can achieve alternating operation between workstations A and B

Advantages: Short average detection cycle and simple operation according to the process

Disadvantages; It can only determine whether there is a leak in the workpiece, but cannot accurately locate the leak point.
