How to deal with the self inspection of oil and gas recovery of water ring vacuum pump?

If leakage occurs under the positive pressure at the rear end of the vacuum pump, the liquid will seep out and be easily found; However, leakage will occur under the negative pressure of the front end, and there is no obvious sign outside, which is not easy to find. In the long run, the vacuum pump will suck in a large amount of air from the air, resulting in the rapid rise of the pressure of the oil tank and the increase of the discharge of the exhaust pipe of the oil tank. Therefore, it is necessary to check whether the vacuum pump leaks during maintenance.

The following small series takes the vacuum pump as an example to introduce a simple method to help us judge whether the vacuum pump has leakage.

The main inspection method is: when the vacuum pump is running, completely block the inlet of the vacuum pump, connect the air outlet under the water surface, and observe whether there are bubbles. The specific steps are as follows:

1 . Prepare a 30 cm long hose with a connector at one end for connecting the outlet of the vacuum pump; A transparent empty plastic bottle (mineral water bottle is enough) is filled with tap water for later use. Prepare a rubber pad with a diameter greater than the inlet diameter of the vacuum pump, with a thickness of more than 2mm, and the rubber pad shall be as tough as possible.

2 . When the vacuum pump stops running, disconnect the pipe joints at its inlet and outlet, and connect the prepared hose at the outlet.

3 . Try to start the vacuum pump and make it rotate. Seal the vacuum pump inlet with rubber gasket to ensure no air leakage.

4 . Insert the hose under the water surface of the plastic bottle and observe whether there are bubbles. If no bubbles appear when the hose is inserted into the water, the vacuum pump is well sealed without leakage. On the other hand, if there are bubbles, the vacuum pump is leaking.

Note: at the beginning of the inspection, be sure to seal the inlet of the vacuum pump before inserting the hose at the outlet into the water. After checking the parameters of the vacuum pump, take out the hose from the water first, and then remove the rubber pad at the inlet, otherwise spray will be splashed!
