Causes of high temperature problems of vacuum pump:

(1) high power and working current of the motor lead to high temperature of the vacuum pump.

(2) the number of fan blades is small, and the amount of wind generated is small.

(3) low fan speed, air pressure and small air volume.

(4) the bus voltage of the vacuum pump motor is 380V. Due to the uneven voltage drop and load distribution of the cable, the actual added voltage of the motor is only 365V, and the low voltage results in high running current.

(5) the motor is attached with dust and oil, which reduces the heat dissipation capacity and leads to high temperature of the vacuum pump.

Countermeasures for high temperature problems of vacuum pump:

The power and speed of the motor are matched with the vacuum pump and cannot be changed. The fan is installed on the motor spindle. The motor speed determines the fan speed. Although increasing the number of fan blades can play a certain role, when the number of blades increases, the dynamic balance is not easy to find.

(1) lengthen the fan cover of the original vacuum pump by 40cm, and install an axial flow fan with the same diameter as the fan cover. The motor power of the axial flow fan is 850W, the speed is 1489r/min, and the voltage is 380V. The original fan remains. The axial fan is also provided with a power supply control, and there is no linkage between the axial fan and the main motor. After the start of the vacuum pump, the axial fan is started in time, and the axial fan is stopped 30 minutes after the vacuum pump is stopped, so that the main motor can be fully cooled.

(2) regularly remove dust on the vacuum pump motor, keep the motor radiator clean and increase its heat dissipation capacity;

(3) adjust the bus voltage of the vacuum pump to 400V.

Effect of vacuum pump high temperature solution:

(1) due to their high axial flow fan speed, air pressure air volume is big, greatly enhance the cooling effect, in the same environment temperature, the electrical load shedding, vacuum pump main motor temperature dropped 12 ℃. The temperature of the main motor did not exceed the limit in summer.

(2) the insulation aging speed of the main motor is slowed down and its service life is prolonged.

(3) the axial fan can be controlled by human. After the main motor is out of operation, the axial fan can still operate and the main motor can be fully cooled.

(4) after the voltage adjustment, the running current of diaphragm pump drops to 210A, and the calorific value decreases relatively.

(5) try to balance the load distribution of the bus in 2 sections, so as to avoid excessive voltage drop caused by overloading of the bus in a certain section.
Through the study on the high temperature of vacuum pump, we find that the high temperature of vacuum pump is mainly caused by the heating of motor, so the main way to solve this problem is also around the vacuum pump motor.
