The forming process requires huge mechanical pressure, at which the temperature is between 175 C and 180 C, and the vacuum is 1 mbar. The above vacuum degree must be achieved in order to remove bubbles from the finished components and remove steam generated by high temperature and high pressure in the process. These machines were originally equipped with oil-lubricated rotary vane vacuum pumps, but soon serious problems arose: the vacuum pump oil reacted with the steam generated in the processing process, resulting in the formation of emulsions and oil deposits in the vacuum pump. These deposits reduce the performance of vacuum, so they can no longer achieve the required vacuum and pumping speed.
After thorough analysis by EVP vacuum experts, the solution is to replace oil lubricated rotary vane vacuum pump with packing pump-screw vacuum pump. Subsequently, the screw vacuum pump was tested in detail. This vacuum pump does not use working fluid in the compression chamber during operation, which means that the extracted steam will not contact with any other medium in the vacuum pump. In addition, the operating temperature of the vacuum pump prevents the steam from condensation when passing through the pump.
