The water ring vacuum pump produces too much waste water and the treatment cost is too high. What is a good solution?

Water ring vacuum pump closed circulation unit is a vacuum pump unit composed of steam liquid separator, heat exchanger, valves, instruments, pipelines and other auxiliary components on the basis of water ring pump. This unit can make the working liquid of water ring vacuum pump circulate in the gas-liquid separator and pump chamber all the time, reduce sewage discharge, and gas can be condensed and recovered through the exhaust port or directly processed for tail gas, which is conducive to environmental protection and emission reduction.

On the premise of not changing the water ring pump itself, this problem can be solved by reducing the production of waste water and recycling it back and forth.

Water ring vacuum pump closed circulation system:

Water ring vacuum pump closed circulation unit is a vacuum pump unit composed of steam liquid separator, heat exchanger, valves, instruments, pipelines and other auxiliary components on the basis of water ring pump. This unit can make the working liquid of water ring vacuum pump circulate in the gas-liquid separator and pump chamber all the time, reduce sewage discharge, and gas can be condensed and recovered through the exhaust port or directly processed for tail gas, which is conducive to environmental protection and emission reduction.

The vacuum source of the equipment is widely used in pharmaceutical, chemical, light industry, negative pressure water diversion projects, light impregnation and casting industries.

(1) Working principle

Principle description: the gas is compressed by the water ring vacuum pump to carry part of the working fluid, and is discharged to the vapor liquid separator through the exhaust pipe, where the vapor liquid is separated. After the gas is compressed to the exhaust pressure, it is discharged from the system through the exhaust port.
The separator is equipped with a liquid level gauge to indicate the liquid level in the separator. The normal liquid level is limited between the highest and lowest liquid level marks. If the liquid level is too low, add the working liquid through the liquid make-up port;
If the liquid level is too high, drain the liquid through the overflow port to ensure the liquid level in the separator. The drain outlet is used to completely drain the liquid in the separator.

The working fluid enters the heat exchanger from the separator through the liquid supply pipeline, and then returns to the vacuum pump after being cooled by the heat exchanger. Such repeated operation makes the working fluid always circulate in the separator and pump chamber, forming a closed circulating unit.

(2) Liquid ring vacuum pump closed circulation system

The pumped gas enters the liquid ring vacuum pump/compressor from the suction port, and after being compressed by the liquid ring vacuum pump/compressor, it enters the gas-liquid separator with part of the working fluid. The gas-liquid two phases are separated in the gas-liquid separator. The gas is discharged from the exhaust port, and the working fluid is inhaled by the liquid ring pump/compressor through the heat exchanger for recycling.

(3) Optional Accessories:

1. Suction inlet vacuum check valve.
In order to prevent backflow when the vacuum pump/compressor is shut down, it is generally necessary to install a vacuum check valve or pneumatic valve at the pump inlet.

2. Suction port vacuum gauge or pressure sensor.
It is convenient to observe the pressure at the pump suction port. A vacuum gauge can be installed at the pump suction port.

3. Air inlet filter.
If foreign matters may enter the pump in the system and pipeline, a filter or strainer shall be installed at the pump suction port.

4. The overflow valve of the separator can discharge the excess working liquid from the gas-liquid separator.

5. If the working fluid is insufficient at the separator liquid replenishing port, the working fluid can be properly replenished from the liquid replenishing port.

6. The separator level gauge can observe the liquid level in the separator. If automatic control is required, a signal output level gauge, automatic overflow or liquid supplement device shall be installed.

7. If there may be pressure in the separator, install a pressure gauge on the separator.

8. The thermometer shall be installed in the working fluid pipeline to observe the inlet temperature of the working fluid.

9. The working fluid booster pump can be installed if the working fluid supply of the pump is insufficient or the working pipeline resistance is large.

10. If the working fluid supply may be too large, the control valve shall be installed in the working pipeline.

11. If the suction pressure of the vacuum pump is close to the saturated vapor pressure of the working fluid, a cavitation protection pipeline shall be installed between the vacuum pump and the separator.

12. If it is used as a compressor, the balance pipeline and corresponding valve accessories shall be installed between the suction and discharge pipelines of the compressor.

13. Stop valve of suction pipeline, exhaust pipeline and working fluid pipeline

14. If the condensable gas at the exhaust outlet needs to be collected or recovered by the exhaust condenser, a condenser can be installed at the exhaust outlet of the gas-liquid separator.

15. If there are other special requirements, corresponding accessories can be installed.

(4) Performance characteristics

4.1 The device is simple in structure. The use of steam water separator can save water and avoid pollution.

4.2 Single or multiple vacuum configurations, easy for maintenance and application.

4.3 The upper and lower limits of the vacuum system can be set, and the vacuum pump can automatically work within the set working range after the system is started.
The working time of the water ring vacuum pump can also be set to control the vacuum pump to meet the working conditions.

(5) Simple installation

The equipment is a complete set of equipment. When installing the equipment, users only need to fix the bolt holes reserved on the base on the horizontal hard ground.

(6) Operation steps

(6.1) Startup steps
1. Close the suction valve.
2. Supply water to circulating tank (between 15-30 level gauges in this room)
3. Normally open the water supply valve of vacuum pump (do not close it under normal startup or shutdown conditions)
4. Manually jog the motor to see the direction of rotation
5. Starting motor
6. When the vacuum reaches the set requirements, open the suction valve.
Note: The main valve of the vacuum pumping system shall be installed by the user. The liquid level shall not be lower than 10 scales of the magnetic flap level gauge.

(6.2) Shutdown steps
It is automatically controlled or manually closed by the electric control cabinet.
