How to carry out no-load test run of vacuum unit

Before the vacuum unit is used for the first time or stopped for a long time and then started, in order to enable the unit to operate normally, the user should first conduct no-load commissioning of the equipment, which can not only find out the possible problems of the equipment in time, but also ensure the smooth completion of the work. What is the correct no-load test method?

How to carry out no-load test run of vacuum unit

1) Close the main valve of the system above the vacuum unit (the bypass pipeline is equipped with a stop valve, solenoid valve or pneumatic valve).

2) Switch the universal change-over switch of the electric control cabinet to the “manual” state.

3) For the water ring unit, open the inlet valve of the working fluid of the water ring pump (if the previous stage pump is an oil ring pump, the valve at the water supply port of the water ring pump can be normally opened), supply water to the water ring pump, and quickly press the start button of the previous stage pump to start the previous stage pump (water ring vacuum pump). During operation, observe whether the status of the drainage port and exhaust port of the previous stage pump is normal. If there is no working liquid and gas discharged, check the pipeline at the water supply port of the working liquid water ring pump.

4) During the operation of the front stage pump, open the main valve of the system, inflate air from above the vacuum unit, and observe whether each roots vacuum pump (main extraction roots pump, primary roots pump) can rotate flexibly. If the roots vacuum pump cannot rotate passively under the air extraction operation of the previous pump, check whether there are welding slag and other foreign matters in the roots vacuum pump. If there are foreign matters, remove them immediately.

5) Close the main valve of the system to make the system pressure reach above -0.09MPa. Inch the Roots vacuum pump on the water (liquid) ring vacuum pump and check its rotation direction. If the rotation direction is not consistent, adjust its rotation direction.

6) Confirm the first level roots vacuum pump on the water (liquid) ring vacuum pump and check the steering, and so on to check the steering of all roots vacuum pumps.

7) After all vacuum pumps are confirmed to be correct, stop the machine and switch the universal change-over switch of the electric control cabinet to the “automatic” state to prepare for testing whether the automatic start and stop of Roots vacuum pump is normal.

8) Set the value of the electric contact vacuum meter so that the roots vacuum pump can start automatically.

9) Start and start the front pump, the system vacuum will gradually increase, and the roots pump will automatically start in the order of the first stage roots pump and the main extraction roots pump.

Before the initial use or restart of the vacuum unit after long-term shutdown, if the user does not conduct no-load test run as required and directly starts the unit for use, problems in the use process will cause greater damage to the equipment and affect the work efficiency.
