If the water ring vacuum pump works for a long time under cavitation condition, the noise and vibration of the pump will increase, and even damage the pump. Therefore, it is necessary to avoid the water ring vacuum pump working under cavitation condition. The following methods can be adopted:

1. Reduce the temperature of working fluid on the premise that the working point of water ring vacuum pump is fixed, the effect of cavitation can be prevented by reducing the temperature of working fluid.

2. Make the vacuum pump run in the safe area and improve the accuracy of the selection this requires that in the selection stage, it is easy to avoid the liquid ring pump when selecting the suction pressure and working fluid temperature of the water ring vacuum pump. The pressure range in which cavitation occurs.

3. Install cavitation protection pipeline or check valve when the bubble generated in the cavitation process ruptures in the compression process, the introduction of high pressure non condensable gas from the outside can timely supplement the space caused by bubble rupture, which can greatly reduce the damage of cavitation to the pump and reduce the noise and vibration caused by cavitation. A kind of 2BV and 2BE1 are equipped with cavitation protection interface. When the cavitation occurs in the pump, the cavitation noise can be eliminated by filling the non condensable gas into the cavitation protection interface at the exhaust side of the pump, and the cavitation damage to the pump can be greatly reduced.

4. Equipped with atmospheric injector If the suction port of the water ring vacuum pump is equipped with an atmospheric injector, the liquid ring pump is not prone to cavitation.
5. Use the liquid with lower saturated vapor pressure as working fluid.

6. The impeller and disc of the pump are made of materials with strong cavitation resistance.
