How to replace the vacuum pump oil mist separator

Under the action of driving force, the oil mist separator of the vacuum pump passes through the filter paper in the oil-gas mixture and the cotton oil in the oil mist separator of the vacuum pump is intercepted, so as to realize the separation process of gas and vacuum oil. The filtered vacuum pump oil is recycled along with the oil return pipe, no oil exhaust gas is discharged, and the pollution-free and clean effect is achieved.

Methods to replace oil mist separator of vacuum pump:

1. Check when the vacuum pump is running: check whether the pressure gauge of the oil mist separator of the vacuum pump is blocked. When the pressure gauge reading is in the red area, this means that the oil mist separator is blocked and must be replaced.

2. If the oil mist separator does not have a pressure gauge, the resistance of the oil mist separator is measured by the current change of the driving motor of the water ring vacuum pump. The current consumed by the driving motor or flow of the vacuum pump decreases, indicating that the oil mist separator is blocked and must be replaced.

3. If the pressure indicated by the pressure gauge of the oil mist separator of the vacuum pump is lower than the normal value, or the current consumed by the driving motor is lower than the normal value, the oil mist separator is damaged and needs to be replaced.

4. If the discharged gas contains oil, it must be replaced because the oil mist separator is blocked or damaged. The oil mist separator of vacuum pump cannot be cleaned thoroughly, and the blocked oil mist separator must be replaced.

5. Before replacing the oil mist separator of the vacuum pump, please turn off the vacuum pump and cut off the power supply to ensure that the rotary vane vacuum pump reaches atmospheric pressure. Open the ventilation cover plate from the oil tank, remove the ventilation filter with a special internal six purpose wrench, and install the open end of the new oil mist separator with sealing ring in the correct position in the oil tank.

How to replace the vacuum pump oil mist separator

The biggest advantage of Roots vacuum pump is that it has higher pumping rate at lower inlet pressure and can reach relatively high vacuum pump limit. Therefore, roots vacuum pump has stable operation performance, long service life and low maintenance cost, which is welcomed by all. However, it was also found that roots vacuum pump had to stop adding lubricating oil in each production activity, which affected production.

It can be seen from the structure of Roots vacuum pump that the synchronous guide gear box and pump chamber of Roots vacuum pump are sealed by internal oil seal. After roots vacuum pump runs, a certain degree of vacuum is formed in the pump chamber. There will be a pressure difference between the gearbox and the pump chamber. Under the action of differential pressure, lubricating oil will follow the oil seal into the pump chamber. Only when the pressure in the gearbox and pump chamber is balanced will the lubricating oil stop entering.

Since roots vacuum pump has been running for a long time, the lubricating oil in the gearbox will be gradually drawn into the pump chamber, indicating that the oil level is lower than the standard oil level. At this time, it is necessary to stop the machine and inject lubricating oil from the lubricating oil adding hole, otherwise, due to the pressure difference between the atmosphere and the pump chamber, the lubricating oil in the gearbox will be quickly drawn into the pump chamber.
