Cavitation is produced by liquid vaporization. The escape of liquid molecules into gas molecules is called “vaporization”. The cavitation of vacuum pump not only destroys the flow components, but also produces noise and vibration, which makes the performance of pump decline. In serious cases, the liquid in the pump is suspended and cannot work normally. The water ring vacuum pump has a short running time in the cavitation state, which causes the pump to produce noise and vibration, and even damages the pump. Increase the heat of water
Because the ice water temperature of the water ring vacuum pump will lead to the serious increase of the pumping energy, the heat of the vacuum pump seal must be lower than the saturated heat corresponding to the exhaust pressure, otherwise the wear of the vacuum pump impeller will deteriorate. Therefore, increasing the water temperature can prevent cavitation.
The right choice
In the selection stage, when taking the suction pressure of vacuum pump and the heat of water, try to avoid the pressure range where the vacuum pump is easy to produce cavitation, that is, to prevent the vacuum pump from operating under the critical vacuum or critical exhaust pressure, and to avoid the increase of cavitation production.
Installation of cavitation protection
A vacuum pump with a cavitation protection tube is provided. In the process of compression, the bubbles produced in the cavitating medium will break, and the non condensable gas with high pressure will be introduced from the inside to supplement the space produced by the bubble break. This will greatly increase the damage of cavitation to the pump and increase the noise and vibration caused by cavitation.
And air ejector
The function of the atmospheric injector is to use the pressure difference between the atmospheric pressure and the vacuum pump to produce the loss of the suction pressure of the atmospheric injector lower than that of the vacuum pump, so as to eliminate the limit pressure of the vacuum pump, prevent the cavitation of the vacuum pump and protect the vacuum pump. Because the setting of air ejector is to prevent cavitation of vacuum pump and cover the vacuum pump, it is usually better to equip air ejector vacuum pump than vacuum pump.
Use low saturated vapor liquid as working fluid
The working fluid changes from raw water to transformer oil. Because the saturated vapor pressure of transformer oil of water ring vacuum pump is low, the vacuum is lost finally. The working fluid of vacuum pump can also be used with other liquids (organic solvents with low viscosity, such as propanol, ethanol, xylene, aniline or amphetamine hydrochloride), to extract and purify larger gases and some special working conditions. The final vacuum is determined by the saturated vapor pressure of the working fluid.
Pump impeller, disc, etc
The cavitation resistance of different materials is obviously different. There are many factors that affect the corrosion resistance of water ring vacuum pump materials. Generally speaking, the materials with high hardness and elasticity have strong anti-corrosion ability. It is suggested that 13cr4n and other low-carbon chromium nickel alloy steel should be selected as the material of hydraulic machinery, which has good corrosion resistance when working under the condition of cavitation. Impeller has no coating process, non-metallic coating adopts epoxy resin, nylon powder and polyurethane coating. Protect alloy or spray welding alloy in runner to prevent cavitation damage, such as stainless steel wire surfacing, stainless steel plate welding, alloy powder spray welding, etc.
