The relationship between absorbed power and shaft power of the motor

Absorbed power”, also called “pump input power”, in general refers to the “active power” of the motor.

And the shaft power is the work given to the pump shaft by the motor per unit time. The shaft will power (motor power) to the power of the power parts (impeller).

There will be transmission losses between the two, so theoretically the input power is greater than the shaft power. It is not the same concept.
