Single-acting liquid ring compressor and double-acting liquid ring compressor
There are two types of liquid ring compressors, single-acting liquid ring compressors and double-acting liquid ring compressors. Although the two types of liquid ring compressors are used for gas compression and transportation, there are some differences in structure, function and application.
1.Single-acting liquid ring compressor
The structural feature of the single-acting liquid ring compressor (or flat disc compressor) is that the impeller is eccentrically installed inside the compressor shell, and the flat disc-shaped gas divider is equipped with a gas inlet and a gas compression discharge port, Its impeller only produces one gas injection and compression process every time it rotates.
2.Double-acting liquid ring compressor
With the development of product design and manufacturing technology, there have been innovations in the structure design of liquid ring compressor. The new liquid ring compressor has changed the original plain disk gas distributor into a cone or cylinder structure. Two sets of suction and exhaust channels are set on the distributor, and the compressor impeller is designed to operate around the gas distributor.In order to match the structural design concept of double suction and double exhaust of gas distributor and make the impeller give full play to the function, the shell of double acting liquid ring compressor is also optimized for double eccentric structure.
As a result of these innovative structural changes, the impeller of the compressor can be pumped and compressed twice per rotation.This new type of liquid ring compressor is called double acting liquid ring compressor.
3.Comparison between double acting liquid ring compressor and single acting liquid ring compressor
Compared with the single acting liquid ring compressor, the double acting liquid ring compressor has the characteristics of large air inlet area expansion of the gas distributor opening, so the gas suction capacity is stronger.
The increase of liquid content in the inhaled gas will have an impact on the working efficiency of the liquid-ring compressor. Under the same working conditions, the efficiency decline of the double-acting liquid-ring compressor is smaller than that of the single-acting liquid-ring compressor.In the presence of a condensable body, the double-acting liquid ring compressor is not sensitive to water vapor in the intake air, so the pumping capacity can be greatly improved by condensing first and then compressing.
Due to the difference of the intake structure, the double-acting liquid ring compressor has greater advantages in operation energy consumption under the same working conditions. The energy saving effect is particularly obvious in the period of higher moisture content of the intake air. The power consumption of the double-acting liquid ring compressor is lower than that of the single-acting liquid ring compressor under the same suction volume.
The suction port of the single acting liquid ring compressor is generally arranged on the top of the compressor, and the impeller is installed eccentrically above the center line of the shaft.Due to the higher level of the sealing liquid at rest, the starting current is larger.The position of suction outlet and liquid level of sealing liquid of double acting liquid ring compressor are relatively low, and its starting current is smaller.
The single-acting liquid ring compressor needs to be designed into a secondary structure when it needs to obtain a higher gas discharge pressure. In this case, its structure becomes more complicated. a series of primary partition between secondary impeller, low pressure and high pressure hull is divided into two parts of the rise in the Numbers at the same time, the need to prevent leakage of sealing point more, thus the point of failure will increase.Compared with this, the secondary structure of the double-acting liquid ring compressor is very simple to obtain higher transmission pressure. The rotor of double acting liquid ring compressor adopts radial force balance design, which is not easy to damage in the process of high-speed rotation.The rotor selection process of single acting liquid ring compressor is greatly affected by radial force, long-term use of the rotor damage and the risk of broken shaft.
