Anti-corrosion vacuum system for harsh processes
The pumps offered in corrosive applications are highly engineered products and results from several years of experience of Indian and Korean counterparts. The vacuum pumping unit is very suitable for various harsh chemical processes, such as distilled hydrochloric acid, chlorine sulfite, POCl3, etc., so it can be successfully operated in many customer sites with long maintenance intervals. Dry mechanical vacuum systems around the world are designed to handle non condensing loads and limited steam loads & by strictly following this phenomenon, pumps can be trouble free for decades.
In addition, the vacuum system provided for industrial treatment of sulfite steam includes all equipment compatible and designed to work in acidic environments.
In addition, the vacuum system is equipped with a newly designed function to control the temperature of the screw pump by regulating the water flow into the cooling jacket without any power or other power supply. This helps to create the best operating environment at the desired temperature level according to the process parameters, and directly improves the life of the vacuum pump by preventing condensation inside the screw pump. As the temperature of the screw pump shell is kept above the dew point of the incoming steam, all the steam passes through the screw pump and does not condense in the vacuum pump. In addition to this function, a temperature switch is installed as an additional safety function to prevent temperature rise.
There are two different types of “dry screw pump + booster combination” vacuum system – according to the process of different customers (corrosivity of solvent), to meet the different needs of different customers, and the design has the differences mentioned below.
In addition, auxiliary automation, such as solvent flushing, nitrogen inlet purging and nitrogen sealing purging, is also provided, which increases the operating efficiency of the vacuum system.
Solvent washing
If there are any remaining process particles, clean the pump.
Nitrogen seal cleaning
Shielding of mechanical seal creates inert environment around mechanical seal, and additional safety feature of mechanical seal.
Nitrogen inlet cleaning
By breaking the vacuum to help solvent flushing, thus preventing the phase change of solvent for solvent flushing.
Preheating and preheating function
Warming up and warming up are two advantages. During batch start-up, the screw pump will dry for 10-15 minutes in a blank state to achieve heat pump in the start-up process. Preheat ensures that the vacuum pump internals are completely dried after batch production.
