Roots blower and turbo blower difference between

The operation principle of turbo blower and roots blower is roughly the same. Both of them rely on mechanical rotation to drive the blades inside the pump body to rotate to achieve the purpose of conveying gas. In vacuum feeding, both of them are indispensable. The differences between them mainly focus on the following aspects:

1、 Shape

The turbo blower is compact in shape, the inlet and outlet are at the bottom of the fan, and the volume is small. It is made of aluminum alloy, which is light in weight and poor in temperature resistance. It will be oxidized when working at high temperature. Roots blower uses belt pulley to drive the pump chamber to work, and its volume is relatively large, and its material is generally cast iron, which is heavy;

2、 Parameters

Under the same power, the initial flow rate of turbo blower and roots blower is not different, and the pressure is slightly lower. Because the pump cavity of Roots blower is larger, the flow and pressure of Roots blower are higher than that of turbo blower . Therefore, in vacuum feeding, the conveying distance of Luo blower is far and the suction capacity is large;

turbo blower

3、 Performance

Roots blower is to send gas by centrifugal force, roots blower is forced to transport gas, that is, compressed gas transmission. In contrast, roots blower has more stable operation and longer service life;

4、 Maintenance

Roots blower basically does not need maintenance, as long as pay attention to two aspects, pressure and air intake cleanliness, very convenient to use; while roots blower regular maintenance, such as adding lubricating oil, updating gear grease, etc., is also very convenient;

5、 Price

Under the same power, the price of turbo blower is relatively cheap, while roots blower is more expensive, each has its own purpose and advantages;

6、 About choice

When choosing, which one is better than the roots blower or the turbo blower according to your own implementation? For this problem, we have to start with their working principle mode

Roots blower: it belongs to displacement fan. It is a pump body with two impellers built in. Due to the precise actual and installation position, the two impellers do not contact each other and interfere with each other when they rotate. There is a small gap between them to generate pressure and flow. Because the pump body is larger and longer, the flow is relatively large;

turbo blower : the vortex blower belongs to the air ring type fan. There are many regular and uniform small blades on the edge of the internal impeller to generate pressure and flow. A certain amount of vortex type air volume will be formed between each blade and the blade, which will be continuously pressurized and increased, and finally sent out of the pump body;

After understanding the principle between the two, for Roots blower and turbo blower which is better, I believe you have a certain choice in mind. However, there is not much comparability between them. They have their own practical fields and advantages, and their manufacturing materials are also different. Roots blower is made of cast iron and turbo blower is made of aluminum alloy. If there is water vapor in the intake air, the use of turbo blower will require a large amount of flow and high pressure, so roots blower should be used.
