According to the above principles, when the pump required vacuum or gas pressure is not high, can be selected in a single stage of the pump. If the vacuum or exhaust pressure is higher, single-stage pump is often not able to meet, or, the requirement of the pump in the case of a higher vacuum is still a larger gas volume, that is, the requirement of the performance curve in a higher vacuum is flatter, can choose a two-stage pump. If the vacuum degree is above -710mmhg, water ring-large air pump or water ring-Roots vacuum unit can be selected as the vacuum pumping device.

If only for vacuum pump, the selection of single pump is better. For single pump simple structure, easy manufacture and maintenance, and under the condition of high vacuum cavitation resistance. If only for the use of larger gas compressor, then choose the double action pump is more appropriate. Because the double action pump air volume, small volume, light weight, radial force can be automatically balanced, shaft is not easy to generate fatigue fracture, long service life of the pump.
