Which links of lithium battery manufacturing need to use vacuum pump
In the manufacturing process of lithium ion battery, vacuum technology plays an important role in the process flow of slurry mixing, liquid injection, baking, etc. The quality of lithium battery is closely related to the design of vacuum system. The vacuum pump is the main equipment of the vacuum system and the main content of the vacuum system design. When selecting the type, it is necessary to fully consider the use requirements, such as vacuum degree, pumping speed, and the composition of the pumped medium.
In the process of manufacturing lithium batteries, vacuum pumps are required for the following processes:
① In the production workshop of lithium-ion power battery, vacuum is required to eliminate the air in the tank body to avoid bubbles and affect the coating effect;
② After laser welding, in order to detect the air tightness of the battery, it is necessary to vacuumize, and determine whether there is air leakage by detecting the pressure drop after maintaining the pressure;
③ In the high-temperature tunnel furnace, in order to replace the air inside the battery and improve the battery baking effect, the tunnel furnace will be vacuumized to better dry the moisture in the electrode sheet;
④ During liquid injection (i.e. vacuum injection), the use of vacuum pump can better ensure the quality of liquid injection;
⑤ When forming under negative pressure, the lithium battery will produce a lot of gas during the formation process, so it is necessary to vacuum the battery to reduce the possibility of lithium precipitation;
⑥ The processes such as punching, winding, laminating of pole pieces, and entering the shell of batteries require the use of vacuum equipment to complete automatic handling and adsorption.
There are several types of vacuum equipment that can be used in the manufacture of lithium batteries. They are: single-stage rotary vane vacuum pump, single-stage/double roots system, screw pump, etc.
