Purpose of vacuum pump on condenser side:

1. Create vacuum after start up
Before the turbine starts, vacuum the condenser to 20-40KPa(a) in specified time.

2. Keep vacuum during operation
During operation, the vacuum pump continuously extract the dry and the non-condensable gas which run into condenser, to keep the backpressure inside condenser stable within designed point.

Purpose of condenser chamber pumping:

1. Helping to form siphon in condenser side when water ring pump starts, to reduce power consumption of the pump.

2.During condenser operation, it extracts gas which is expelled or leaks from cool water in negative pressure zone of water chamber, to promote heat exchanging efficiency of condenser.
