Polyetherketone, or PEEK, is a linear aromatic polymer with nodes in the backbone of a molecule. Its composition unit is oxygen-p-phenyl – oxygen – carbonyl – p-phenyl, is semi-crystalline, thermoplastic plastic.

Irradiance resistance, stable insulation, resistance to hydrolysis, resistance to pressure, resistance to corrosion, its composite materials made of mechanical parts with self – lubricating effect.
Good temperature resistance, thermal stability, ultra-high heat resistance (better than PPS), HDT above 315 degrees Celsius, UL continuous service temperature of 260 degrees Celsius.
1. Mechanical characteristics PEEK is a plastic with both toughness and rigidity and balance. In particular, its excellent fatigue resistance to alternating stresses is the most outstanding of all plastics, comparable to that of alloys.
2: self-lubricating PEEK has outstanding sliding characteristics in all plastics, suitable for use with strict requirements of low friction coefficient and wear resistance. In particular, PEEK with carbon fiber and graphite in certain proportion is better.
PEEK has excellent resistance to chemical drugs. Among the common chemicals, only concentrated sulfuric acid can dissolve or destroy it, and its corrosion resistance is similar to that of nickel steel.
4: flame retardant PEEK is a very stable polymer, 1.45mm thick sample, without any flame retardant can reach the highest flame retardant standard.
5: peel resistance PEEK is very resistant to peel, so it can be made into a very thin coated or electromagnetic wire, and can be used in harsh conditions.
Fatigue resistance PEEK has the best fatigue resistance of all resins.
7: the irradiance resistance high irradiation resistance is very strong, more than the general resin irradiance resistance of the best polystyrene. It can be used as a high performance for maintaining good insulation capability when the radiation dose reaches 1100Mrad.
8: hydrolytic PEEK and its composite materials are not affected by the chemistry of water and high-pressure water vapor. The products made with this material can still maintain excellent characteristics when used continuously in high-temperature and high-pressure water.
9. PEEK has excellent performance against sliding wear and fretting wear loss, especially it can maintain high wear resistance and low friction factor at 250℃.
