Roots Vacuum Pump Principle :
Roots vacuum pump is a variable-volume vacuum pump with two blade-shaped rotors rotating synchronously in opposite directions. There are small voids between the rotors, the rotors and the inner wall of the pump housing, but they do not touch each other. Roots vacuum pump can not be pumped alone, the front stage needs to be equipped with oil seals, water rings, etc. can be directly discharged into the atmosphere. The suction port of Roots vacuum pump is connected with the main suction pump of the vacuum vessel or vacuum system. The vacuum pump rotor and rotor, rotor and pump shell do not touch each other, the gap is generally 0.1-0.8 mm; no need for oil smoothing. Because of the continuous rotation of the rotor of the vacuum pump, the exhausted gas is sucked from the intake to the space between the rotor and the pump housing, and then discharged through the exhaust port.
