Vacuum pump station (also known as vacuum generating device, vacuum station, negative pressure station, vacuum negative pressure station, etc.) is a complete set of system with one or two water ring vacuum pumps (or other vacuum pumps) as vacuum obtaining equipment and vacuum tank as vacuum storage equipment.

In the case of frequent use of vacuum source and small amount of air needed, the system greatly saves energy and effectively improves the service life of vacuum pump compared with direct use of vacuum pump.

The equipment can provide the vacuum source of medical gas center station for all kinds of large and medium-sized hospitals in China, and is widely used in the vacuum station of chemical industry and pharmaceutical industry, the tank filling system of light industry, the negative pressure forming of rubber and plastic engineering parts in automobile industry, the impregnation of flame-retardant conveyor belt for coal mine and the vacuum source of V-EPC industry.

Vacuum pump station performance characteristics

1、 Since the first start of the device, the whole operation process can be automatically controlled. In its working process, the vacuum degree in the vacuum system always fluctuates up and down within its allowable range, and its fluctuation range can be adjusted according to the user’s requirements.

2、 The device can be widely used in all kinds of systems that need vacuum, at the same time, it can also control the system automatically when no one is operating;

The vacuum system can be closed automatically in case of power failure. Using this equipment can make your vacuum system more advanced, safe and energy-saving.

3、 The device is equipped with a gas water separator and a plate heat exchanger, which can save water resources and reduce environmental pollution. The heat exchanger shall be connected with cooling water for cooling.

Vacuum pump station working principle

First, set the upper and lower limit values of the vacuum system (for example, the upper limit value is set to -0.08mpa and the lower limit value is set to -0.06mpa). After the system starts to start, start one of the vacuum pumps and start to work until the vacuum degree in the vacuum tank is higher than the set upper limit value of -0.08mpa. At this time, the vacuum pump stops automatically and the vacuum in the vacuum tank is automatically cut off by the automatic check valve. For example, the vacuum in the vacuum tank is automatically cut off due to the work demand When the vacuum degree in the tank drops below the lower limit of – 0.06mpa, the vacuum pump will start automatically until the vacuum degree in the tank is pumped to the upper limit of – 0.08mpa. This cycle will run automatically and repeatedly to keep the vacuum degree in the tank between the upper and lower limits.

Vacuum pump station installation and commissioning

1、 Air extraction pipeline shall be connected according to the engineering requirements. The device shall be installed on the steel chassis uniformly, and all equipment shall be checked for damage during transportation, and the whole chassis shall be installed horizontally.

2、 Assemble the control cabinet, connect the motor according to the terminal number of the electrical schematic diagram, and connect the electric contact vacuum meter.

3、 Inject tap water into the gas water separator. There is an automatic water make-up port in the steam water separator. When the water level reaches a certain position, the automatic water make-up port will be closed. Before starting the water ring pump, it is necessary to jog the motor for test run before starting. When it is not used for a long time, the water in the pump shall be drained to avoid embroidery inside the pump (see the operation manual of water ring pump for details).

4、 Set the range of vacuum degree on the vacuum gauge of the electric contact, adjust the lower limit to the required scale according to the vacuum degree required by each. In consideration of the leakage or working loss from the system, properly set the upper limit scale to avoid the pump starting and stopping too frequently.

5、 Before power transmission of the electric control cabinet, first shake the insulation resistance of the equipment ≮ 10m Ω, and the chassis shall be well grounded, with the grounding wire ≮ 4mm2; after power transmission, close the air switch, first manually start the two motors to work normally, and then place the universal transfer switch in the starting pump, check its working procedure, so as to realize full-automatic control.

6、 For air tightness inspection of the equipment, the system valve shall be closed, and the vacuum gauge shall reach -0.08mpa after air extraction.

7、 Discharge the residual water in the vacuum tank at regular intervals according to the service conditions.

Vacuum pump station inspection before startup

1、 First rotate the coupling by hand for several turns to make sure there is no jamming in the pump
2、 To ensure the circulating water level of steam water separator to meet certain requirements
3、 The circulating water of vacuum pump should be free of impurities
4、 The water inlet pipe of vacuum pump shall be smooth
5、 The vent valve of vacuum tank shall be closed
6、 The coupling of vacuum pump shall not be deviated
7、 The voltage requirements of the control cabinet are normal

Vacuum pump station operation procedure

1、 Manual start: before starting the water ring vacuum pump, check the water supply, and turn the coupling of the water ring vacuum pump several times by hand to confirm that there is no jamming or other eccentric wear in the pump before starting. The control cabinet is adjusted to the manual state, and the No. 1 water ring vacuum pump moves. According to the rotating arrow on the pump, the direction is observed, and the steering of the motor is determined. Then start the water ring vacuum pump motor. When the water ring vacuum pump reaches the limit pressure, open the valve on the suction line again, and the pump starts to suction and discharge gas, then the whole set of unit enters the normal working state. To start the 2 water ring vacuum pump, operate as above.
Stop: first close the air inlet valve, then close the button on the control cabinet.
2、 Automatic start: start manually first to check whether the equipment operates normally. If automatic control is required, the air inlet valve shall be opened, and the change-over switch in the control cabinet shall be adjusted to the automatic state of pump 1. At this time, if the vacuum pressure is lower than the set lower limit value, the vacuum pump will start automatically. If the pressure reaches the set upper limit, the vacuum pump will stop at this time. Similarly, if pump 2 is required to start pump 1 for standby, it will start and stop automatically according to the pressure.

Vacuum pump station matters needing attention

1、 Vacuum pump can not operate without water
2、 The pressure at the inlet and outlet of the cooling water of the heat exchanger should be balanced
3、 Check the concentricity of the coupling every other cycle
4、 The temperature of working fluid shall not exceed 40 ℃
5、 The inside of steam separator shall be connected with air

Vacuum pump station maintenance

1、 During normal operation of the pump, pay attention to check the operation and lubrication of the bearing. The temperature (outside the bearing frame) is generally 20 ℃ ~ 32 ℃ higher than the ambient temperature. The maximum actual temperature should not exceed 75 ℃. The bearing of the water ring vacuum pump should be refueled 3 ~ 4 times a year in normal operation. The bearing of water ring vacuum pump shall be cleaned at least once a year, and all lubricating oil shall be replaced.
2、 In normal operation, if leakage is found, check whether the dynamic and static rings of the mechanical seal are damaged or the auxiliary seal is aging. If the above situation occurs, replace the new parts in time.
3、 Check whether all kinds of equipment, instruments and meters work normally.
4、 The working liquid in the steam water separator shall be replaced regularly and then refilled with clean cooling water
5、 If any abnormal phenomenon is found during operation, stop the machine for inspection immediately, find out the cause, and restart and operate after troubleshooting.
6、 When the machine is stopped in winter, the water in the vacuum pump, separator, heat exchanger and pipeline shall be drained to avoid frost crack.
